This is a small piece from the weekend ~ sometimes a take a little break from the bigger pieces with the rovings and lots of stitch. I named it sunspot because it makes me think of what a sunspot would be like ~ if I could indeed see one ...
watercolour on both muslin and sheer nylon fabric with stray wool and threads trapped beneath ~ hand-stitched with french knots for fun

Oh my, your piece is so so sweet and soft, love it Barbara!
Wishing you a lovely weekend ahead. xx
Oh my goodness this is beautiful! Wow, you are so creative! Love it.
sigh.....
I love that you share the components and techniques, and that you call it sunspot. For me this is a dancing fairy~
Hi Barbara
Just love the softness of your work no matter the piece. Your stitches tread lightly somehow.
These pastels are gorgeous. The only time I ever use a brush is when I am applying my silk dyes to cloth.
What threads do you use in your Kantha stitching?
I am currently working on a pastel piece at present.
