i just took these pictures over the weekend ~ this is an old, old clump in our yard ~ the fragrance is filling the air ~ they are so delicate and i miss them when they are gone

as a bit of a consolation, they are a pretty green shrub once the flowers have gone ~ I've planted 17 of these in the last 15 years. They are my fave.
My mother always maintained that it was very lunlucky to bring lilac blossoms into the house, she would go bezerk if I tried it!
