Halton Youth Symphony Orchestra Auction



I just wanted to report back on the opening of the Halton Youth Symphony Orchestra. It took place Tuesday past and was a huge success. There was a big turnout and it seemed that all the fibre art pieces recieved bids which was great news for us.

This is an image of the HYS taken from the website http://www.fibrations.org/ which is the website which details  the various fibre art projects paired with classical music events.

We had a great evening with lots of questions about fibre art and also comments on the texture and colour of the pieces. You can view the works by visiting the website and following the links to Halton Youth Symphony Orchestra.

I looked at all the wonderful fiber arts on the web site. Unfortunately, I'm not in a position to bid on any of them,, but they are all marvellous. Such talented artists! I am trying to make some baby quilts, there are some pictures on my blog if you scroll down far enough! And I've just bought a new sewing machine so it's taking me a while to get used to it.

(I hate these new "prove you're not a roboit" words!!!!
