a few details
Well, this piece has been completed and will be part of a small exhibit of ~ forests ~ at the Burlington Art Centre.
I learned a lot with this particular piece and will start a second in the series soon.
Sometimes, though the vision that I start with doesn't always translate into the finished piece ~ not that it is a bad thing.
I will work again with a different composition but the same subject matter of the Boreal Forest.
This is acrylic on wool with some hand stitch and lots of free motion.

Your quilting looks magnificent. Color, texture, it has it all.
that's gorgeous barbara....can i ask, how do you exhibit the work? Do you frame it? or does it hang by itself?I'm just trying to imagine it in my head....so beautiful.....very calming
this is lovely,, I've never saw this done,,I'm you newest follower,,
I really really like this. Are all the tiny stitches done on a machine? Which stitches are done by hand?
amazing, that is hand stitched! it is lovely and I look forward to seeing what you do with more Boreal Forest as the subject.
I think it is often the nature with art, to change.
JULY 1: Happy CANADA Day, Barbara!

Dear Barbara
I have been wondering how you are and if you are keeping good health. It has been a while since I have been in contact so here I am! Your colours and stitching are always so soothing!
