Of course, last night was too cloudy with flurries to see the full moon but this is from my front porch this morning when I awoke. January's full moon is known as the Wolf Moon ! From the Algonquin, it speaks of cold and deep snows when wolf packs howled hungrily ... it has also be known as the "Moon after Yule" in pairing with December's "Moon before Yule".
Without a doubt, I love full moons perhaps some day ... I shall see a "blue moon"!
Very best wishes,
Barbara

how wonderful that you woke to see the big fat moon!
It was clear here, the first clear day/night in a LONG time. I so enjoyed that fat moon. Now it is cloudy again. I have heard wolves often lately.... perfect that it is the wolf moon. Wishing you a blue moon~
Too darn cold to go out and howl at the moon last night. And can you believe.... my silly son has gone off to Bancroft, where it is -28C today, to race cars round a snowy racetrack..... he's NUTS!
