There is a full moon here tonight and thankfully the clouds cleared in time to get a photograph. The full moon in October is known as the Hunter's Moon, named so because in the past ~ plenty of moonlight was ideal for the hunters of migratory birds and wild game, they would have been stockpiling food for the long winter ahead. For us, it provides a beautiful light to enjoy our fall evenings. Have a wonderful weekend ~

That is a gorgeous photo. The full moon from my side of the world was beautiful too and very big.
i didn't know that! i think i need to make a hunter's moon yarn now...
Beautiful photograph of the moon. I've seen some lovely moons recently.
The knitting looks so delicate.
What lovely lacy knitting in your previous post. I love knitting, but have never tried knitting lace. Is it difficult to learn? And how do you know if you've dropped a stitch? Once I have moved (yes, I'm packing, I move in the middle of November) I'll have more time to sit down and concentrate on a new project.... perhaps a lacy scarf!
Barbara,
this is such a magical photograph! A beauty to behold.
The hunters are out here. It is time to wear bright orange will hiking...
Wishing you a wonderful weekend!
